Description

  • The Saree Fabric: A single, unstitched stretch of cloth ranging from 4.5 to 9 meters (approx. 5 to 10 yards) in length and about 1 meter in width. It features a decorative border and a heavily ornamented end piece known as the pallu (or anchal).

  • The Blouse (Choli): A fitted cropped upper garment with short, long, or sleeveless designs that complements the saree.

  • The Petticoat (Parkar/Inskirt): A waist-to-floor underskirt tied tightly with a drawstring, serving as the anchor to secure the pleats of the saree.
